Involvement in numerous projects covering many areas of this organization's business, including the following: Housing Benefits System - analysis and design of a complete replacement for the existing system. Financial Management System - implementation of Walker International Financial Management System to replace existing General Accounting system and creation of interfaces to Creditors system, Housing Maintenance system and Incomes system. Extensions to Walker FMS functionality - (1) Creditors Reserve / Commitments Enquiries System - an entirely new system written to interface with Walker FMS to provide financial management information on budget commitments made but not expended, (2) Job Balances Enquiry facility, (3) Audit Statistics Enquiry facility. Creditors Input System - enhancements to the Redifon / mainframe interface. Receipts Input System - enhancements to the Redifon / mainframe interface. Creditors System - VAT Rate Enhancements, Creditors Discount Enhancements, Reconciliation Enhancements, introduction of Creditors System / Housing Benefits System interface, introduction of Creditors System / Education System interface. Housing Loans System - amendments to calculation routines on existing system. Highways Maintenance (Trench Reinstatement) System - enhancement of existing system to handle changes of contractors. Stores System - enhancements to stock codes. Education System - introduction of School Meals Catering following demise of ILEA. Community Charge System - introduction of new system to replace Domestic Rates System. Domestic Rates System - enhancements to bring about wind-down to coincide with introduction of Community Charge System. Non-Domestic Rates System - enhancements to rates calculations. Transport System - dismantling of existing system. All of the above systems were written either in CICS / COBOL / VSAM or Natural / Adabas and run on an IBM 3083 (Amdahl 5990) under DOS / VSE. |
