Involvement in numerous projects covering all areas of this company's business, including the following: CAPSIL Enhancements - the project involved extensive corrections and amendments to this life assurance and pensions administration system, including IPOL enhancements, Bonus Allocation With Profits, Income Payments Report Enhancements, Policy Relocation, Disbursement Values for NTU'd Single Premiums, Automatic Maturity Processing, Unit Reconciliation, Inland Revenue Staff Commission Reporting, Policy Accounting Enhancements, RELA rewrite and Rated Acceptance Letter Enhancements. Written by Canadian software company Capsco, the CAPSIL package was a CICS / COBOL / VSAM system running on an IBM 3090 under MVS. Computer Aided Information Retrieval system - the project involved the implementation of this Bell & Howell software / hardware package for storage, preparation and retrieval of microfiche document archives and the creation of a related extension to the CAPSIL functionality and a bi-directional data interface. Medex Extension - this project provided a new extension to the CAPSIL functionality via a batch interface to an external mainframe system to load customer-related data from a medical expenses database. Bond Reservations System - this project involved the creation of an entirely new free-standing system for recording and maintaining expressions of client interest in tranches of investment bonds. Direct Sales Force Progress Monitoring System - this project involved creating an extension to CAPSIL functionality via a new interface to the Sales system held on a Targon minicomputer. Accountancy / Financial Management system - this project involved a 7-phased system rewrite and replacement of the existing system. Delphi Payroll & Personnel System - this project involved the system testing and implementation of this package from Midland Software, including rewriting all of the supplied VSE JCL to MVS JCL. |
